Devrānî – Unique

In the miniature scene of Devrani where the Niyaz Ayini is depicted, structures in Konya architecture are engraved on the border around the whirling dervish. Ayin-i Serif is a form in Ottoman-Turkish Makam music utilized for composing the music that accompanies the Whirling Dervish Ritual. Niyaz Ayini is the part included after the fourth salutation of Ayin-i Şerif, where the Mevlevi dervishes receive money as donations.
