Online Papermarbling Course: A Six-Week Journey into Floral Marbling

Immerse yourself in the graceful world of Ebru, the traditional Turkish art of painting on water. Guided by artist Dilara Karaagac, this six-week online course offers a deep and meditative exploration of floral marbling — from the very first drop of colour to the blooming of tulips and carnations on water.

In online papermarbling course Each week focuses on a specific pattern and technique. You’ll work at your own pace, share your progress, and receive personal feedback from Dilara throughout the week via Whatsapp — helping you refine your control, flow, and artistic expression.

Each participant will set a camera above their tray, allowing Dilara to provide real-time feedback while she demonstrates techniques from her own workspace. The course is limited to five participants to ensure an intimate, interactive learning experience.

🌸 Course Outline:
Week 1 – Preparation & Background: Learn the essence of Ebru, traditional materials, and how to prepare your tray and paints.
Week 2 – Hatib Pattern: Explore one of the earliest floral forms and master balance and composition.
Week 3 – Carnation: Create elegant petals and rhythmic movements.
Week 4 – Tulip: Paint the most iconic flower of Turkish marbling.
Week 5 – Double Carnation & Tulip: Combine forms and techniques into layered compositions.
Week 6 – Recap & Reflection: Review your progress and focus on the flower you would like to be an expert.

🪶 Materials:
All students can purchase a complete Ebru kit prepared by the artist’s studio, including traditional tools and natural materials.

Full kit price: £140

Student discount: £100

The online papermarbling course will be 6 weeks. Each lesson will be 1.5 hours.
