Returning

In this artwork of Returning, Berna follows her inner bird and commemorates the great poet with her own brush on the occasion of the 750th anniversary of Mevlana’s reunion.

In the design phase, the artist, who set out with Mevlana’s homesickness and desire to go to the other world, told the story of the poet’s ghazal number 1390 in his Dîvān-ı Şems.

In the miniature scene, the happy bird, who desires to reunite with his homeland, flies to his homeland with all his excitement, leaving the world that has lost its color behind in all its desolation.

It is made using Classical Miniature Technique.
